About
Rishika Agarwal
I'm a clinical psychologist based in Surat. I trained at Christ University (Bengaluru) and went on to a post-graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. My day-to-day work is split between in-clinic sessions, video therapy, and structured behavioural work with children.
How I work
I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Interpersonal & Social Rhythm Therapy (for mood-cycling concerns) when they fit. I prefer measurable goals, written plans, and a steady weekly rhythm — therapy that's clear about what it's trying to do.

A note on what I don't do
I don't write diagnoses over chat, prescribe medication (I'll refer you to a psychiatrist when that's the right next step), or share client stories online — not even anonymised. The Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists' code is quite clear on that, and I think it's the right call.
